Ballyhoo's is named from the small baitfish used for trolling, to catch sailfish and doplhin.

In the 1930's the Florida Keys became a mecca for sportsfisherman from all over the world. Small fishing camps sprang up to accomodate the fisherman. They fished by day. In the evening they ate, drank beer, smoked cigars and told tall talls of the days adventures.

The Conch House structure that houses Ballyhoo's was one of these early fish camps. Ballyhoo's construction has been preserved so you may enjoy the beamed ceilings and quaint atmosphere while feasting on the best seafood, steaks and sandwiches the Florida Keys has to offer!
